About BIODIVERS Popular Scientific Magazine

BIODIVERS is a popular science magazine published by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Tropical Biology (SEAMEO BIOTROP). Launched in December 2021, BIODIVERS aims to raise public awareness and scientific literacy on tropical biodiversity, following the theme "From the Mountain to the Ocean" (MOTO).
This magazine also serves as a platform to promote the research findings, innovations, and outreach activities of SEAMEO BIOTROP researchers and collaborators—both nationally and internationally. It encourages the wider scientific and educational community to engage with pressing environmental issues in ways that are informative, accessible, and inspiring.
BIODIVERS is published twice a year, in January and July, and is registered with an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN). BIODIVERS publishes popular scientific articles within the scope of (1) Ecosystem Restoration and Conservation, (2) Sustainable Use of Biodiversity, Bioenergy, Biotechnology, Food Security, and (3) Ecosystem Resilience in the face of global climate change.
With a mission to become a trusted voice in popular scientific publishing, BIODIVERS invites contributions from scientists, academics, researchers, and practitioners worldwide. Articles should be written in a clear, engaging style that makes science understandable and appealing to a broader audience.
By submitting, authors confirm that their article has not been published or submitted elsewhere. All submissions undergo an editorial process and may require revisions. BIODIVERS enforces strict anti-plagiarism standards in line with national and international publishing ethics. Responsibility for any violations lies with the contributor.
