Description

Dear Valued Readers,

Warm greetings from SEAMEO BIOTROP!

As we navigate through an era marked by significant environmental and educational transformations, our commitment to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development remains steadfast. In recent months, SEAMEO BIOTROP has embarked on several pivotal initiatives, including the launch of our Agro-Eco-Edu Tourism (AEET) program, a testament to our innovative approach to integrating agriculture, ecology, education, and tourism. This initiative not only aims to serve as a model for                                                                                                                                off-campus biodiversity conservation education but also showcases Southeast Asia’s rich biodiversity.

Our engagement in high-level forums such as the 46th SEAMEO High Officials Meeting and the GEM 2023 Southeast Asia Report launch reflects our dedication to contributing to critical discussions on education and technology in the region. These platforms enable us to share insights, learn from others, and align our strategies with regional and global trends.

Furthermore, our focus on capacity building through various training programs on topics ranging from invasive alien plant species to effective administration and correspondence highlights our commitment to enhancing our internal capabilities and providing valuable knowledge to our stakeholders.

As we look to the future, SEAMEO BIOTROP remains dedicated to advancing research, education, and conservation efforts that address the pressing environmental challenges of our time. We are grateful for the continued support of our community and partners in these endeavors.

Together, let’s continue to work towards a sustainable and biodiverse future.

Warm regards,

Dr. Zulhamsyah Imran
Director, SEAMEO BIOTROP
