Abstract:
Until now there has been no information describing the current condition (status) of community forest health, especially of sengon (Paraserianthes falcatria) community forests in monoculture planting system at Lampung Province. In fact, information healthy community forest conditions and the changes are absolutely required by the managers (owners or tenants) of community forests as decision makers for making the right decisions to support sustainable community forest management. The objective of this research was to determine the health status of sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) community forest in monoculture at Lampung Province. The total FHM cluster plot Paraserianthes falcataria community forests in monoculture planting system at Lampung Province is a much eight cluster plot. Community forest health assessment obtained from the final value of forest health conditions, which is the result of multiplying the weighted value and value score parameters of indicators on production (tree growth), vitality (tree damage and crown conditions) and site quality (soil fertility-CEC). The result showed that the health status of Paraserianthes falcataria community forest in monoculture planting system at Lampung Province (cluster-plot 1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 10, 13 and 14), each consisting of categories of conditions: good (8,42), poor (3,48), fair (5,38), poor (3,04), good (6,86), fair (6,42), poor (3,48) and fair (5,64). The current condition (status) health of Paraserianthes falcataria community forest in monoculture planting system at Lampung province consisting of good (2 cluster plot), fair (3 cluster plot) and poor (3 cluster plot).Key words: Community forest health, P. falcataria, monoculture, FHM, Lampung Province
