BIOTROP, USNI formalize Collaboration

BIOTROP and University of Satya Negara Indonesia (USNI) agreed to formalize their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on 20 March 2018 at BIOTROP Campus. BIOTROP’s Director Dr Irdika Mansur and Rector of USNI Dr Yusriani Sapta Dewi signed the MoU which will be effective until 2021.

Universitas Satya Negara Indonesia is a private university which was established in 1989 and located in South Jakarta. This educational institution focuses on the entrepreneurship-oriented development of science, technology and arts.

The collaboration between BIOTROP and USNI will cover: 1) joint research and training activities; 2) provision of technical advice in research and development; 3) exchange of information materials; and 4) scientific staff and student exchange and consultations on relevant research on tropical biology with special focus on Fisheries and Marine Science.

The MoU signing was witnessed by Dr Nur Bambang Priyo Utomo, BIOTROP’s Affiliate Scientist, and Dr Armen Nainggolan, Director of Research of USNI.
