SEAMEO BIOTROP is steering committe member for invasive species management project in Southeast Asia

SEAMEO BIOTROP was recently named as a member of the steering committee in the implementation of a project  on “Removing Barriers to Invasive Species Management in Production Forest in Southeast Asia”   under the Center Research and Development of Forestry and Conservation, Indonesian Ministry of Forestry. The assignment was announced by the director of the said Center  during the workshop on “Site selection and capacity building” workshop at Hotel Santika Bogor, 2-3 December 2010.

The workshop was held to prepare the documents needed for the formulation of the said project to be funded by the Global Environmental Fund of the United nations Environmental Program (GEF-UNEP) and executed by CABI in the Southeast Asian region : Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia starting in 2011.
