BIOTROP and the Institute Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) formalized their collaboration on 22 May 2018.
For the next three years, both institutions agreed to promote cooperation through developing and implementing collaborative research and training activities, exchanging staff and academic materials, and conducting student internships with special focus on agricultural technology and entrepreneurship.
The IBTE is a newly established autonomous post-secondary educational institution whose goal is to produce highly skilled and professional workforce in response and support to Brunei Vision 2035 as well as being internationally recognized. In this partnership, IBTE is represented by the School of Agro-Technology and Applied Sciences.
The MoU was signed by BIOTROP Director Dr Irdika Mansur and IBTE Chief Executive Director Dr Chin Wei Keh.
