A specialized training session on the SEAMEO Financial Reporting Mechanism was conducted on 12-14 December 2023 at the SEAMEO BIOTROP, Bogor, Indonesia. This training aims to assure the Centre staff capacity in providing Financial Report in accordance to the established SEAMEO Financial Operating Manual (FOM).
As one of 26 SEAMEO Centres, SEAMEO BIOTROP is obligated to provide and submit the financial report in accordance to SEAMEO accounting mechanism, on time. For this purpose, the Centre staff shall obtain sufficient knowledge and understanding on how to prepare a proper financial book and report. One of the training sessions was in-depth exploration of the SEAMEO FOM to provide a clear understanding of the highlighted financial and reporting structures.
Ms. Kornkanok Chareonwuthilarp, the Finance Manager, and Ms. Lamyai Sopa, Accountant, of SEAMEO Secretariat serve as the trainers. A total of 8 participants joined this training, including the Ms Hani Puspita Sari from SEAMEO Qitep in Mathematics, SEAMEO BIOTROP's Manager of Finance and Facility Department, Planning and Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, Human Resources and Administration Department Manager, along with other staff members of SEAMEO BIOTROP.
