The existence of SEAMEO BIOTROP has an impact on the success of the student learning process and improving university quality, one of which is for Semarang State University (UNNES). The scope of cooperation that SEAMEO BIOTROP and UNNES have carried out is related to the MSIB Internship Certified Internship Campus Merdeka. The MSIB Internship is an internship program from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Indonesia to provide space for students to gain experience in knowing the professional world and create a professional workforce.
Director General of Higher Education (Dirjen Dikti), Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC., Ph.D, said the MSIB program aims to provide a space for students to gain experience in the professional workforce. Students who wish to graduate are provided with a place to enter the world of their careers, where soft skill development programs are given by the career center.
Based on Government Regulation No. 36 of 2022 concerning Higher Education Legal Entities, Semarang State University, UNNES officially changed its institutional status from PTN-BLU to PTN-BH. PTN-BH is the big goal of UNNES to become a world-class university and build quality education in Indonesia. In achieving the mandate, it is necessary to collaborate between University and other parties, both with other universities as well as DUDI (Business World and Industrial World). The scope of this cooperation covers many fields that support the improvement and achievement of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Increasing cooperation and collaboration with national and international institutions is one of the strategies for achieving the vision and mission of FMIPA UNNES.
The activity organized by FMIPA UNNES entitled "Strengthening FMIPA Partnerships to Support UNNES as a Legal Entity State University" aims to strengthen cooperation between FMIPA and partners in order to support UNNES as a PTN-BH. This activity was held on June 8 2023, at the FMIPA UNNES campus, Semarang, Central Java
In this activity, UNNES invited two speakers from outside and inside country, consisting of Prof. Stephane Bressan, Associate Professor from the Department of Computer Science School of Computing (SoC) of the National University of Singapore (NUS) with the theme of Machine Learning Physics informed. Meanwhile, Ms. Risa Rosita, S.Si., M.Si., Head of the Technology and Environmental Safety (ETS) Section for SEAMEO BIOTROP delivered material regarding the socialization of apprenticeship activities at SEAMEO BIOTROP. The activity was attended by 170 students and 20 lecturers from FMIPA UNNES by offline.
